The upcoming workshop is divided into two locations:
The first part of journey will begin from Colombo Fort Train station , while the second part will be centred around the Unawatuna & Galle fort area.
Stay
First day arrival, 9th March stay will be in Colombo.
The next 2 days, 10th -11th February stay will be in Unawatuna.
The next 4 days, 12th -15th February stay will be in Galle Fort area.
Arrival date
All participants should plan to arrive at Colombo, Sri Lanka by Sunday, 9th February 2025.
How to reach Colombo, SRI LANKA
Colombo is an international airport, and you can secure a direct flight from your city or country, depending on your point of origin.
How to reach Galle, SRI LANKA
The distance from Colombo to Galle is approximately 145 kilometers, which should take around 2.5 - 3 hours by Car or Train.
Unawatuna is part of Galle district and is only 5kms from Galle city centre.
First Class Train seats will be booked for all the participants for this first leg of journey which is part of the workshop.
Sri Lanka Visit Visa
Many countries, including Indian citizens, are eligible for visa-on-arrival at Colombo airport when visiting Sri Lanka.
The current visit visa is free for all the Indian citizens.
Participants of other nationalities, please ensure to check whether your citizenship allows for a visa on arrival, as entry requirements can vary depending on your nationality.
Reaching Colombo hotel
Booking a Taxi ,Express bus shuttle from Colombo airport is a convenient process.Uber is not Allowed at Airport.
For your reference, here is a rough estimate of taxi fare:

Travel Light
We recommend that you pack light and choose luggage that is easy to maneuver, as you may be constantly on the move.
It's essential to have a weatherproof backpack for your camera equipment. Additionally, make sure to include lightweight, summery clothing and comfortable beachwear in your luggage.
Getting Around & Extra payments
The easiest way to travel around is to hire a self-driven scooter or a Tuk Tuk, giving you mobility and freedom. You can share this with another participant. They are quite inexpensive to hire on a daily basis. Additionally, please be aware that some tourist attractions may charge an entry fee, so it's a good idea to keep some cash on hand.
Check Out
The workshop concludes on the 15th of February evening, which is a Saturday.
For those who have booked accommodation with us, you will have access to your room until the following morning, which is the 16th of February, a Sunday. Check-out is required by 11 AM.
Departures
You will need to arrange your return travel from Galle Fort to Colombo or your next destination. This journey is not included in the workshop package.
The distance from Galle to Colombo Airport is approximately 150 km, and the journey typically takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. You can travel by taxi, train, or bus.
